Tummy Bug- 32.5 weeks pregnant

It is not a normal thing to be 32 weeks pregnant and really sick. Our poor baby lived through 24 hours of me vomitting. Each time the involuntary spasism emptied my stomach the baby kick and squirmed as if he/she wanted to escape. Too early baby I would say, you need a few more weeks to cook. I called the hospital and was told that if I did not hold down water for 24 hours ie vomitted one more time I would need to come in for an IV to rehydrate. I didn't panic but the idea of going to hospital certainly gave me a focus "not to vomitt". I have emerged this morning feeling better but now wiped out and very tired. The baby has settled down too- most likely exhused from all the wild sounds and sensations.

Fairwell Apple

Our favourite chicken "Apple" lost her battle this morning. Aaaahh a chook has made me sob, laugh and has helped me to convince Michael that chickens are a good addition to our family. Apple defied death 2 years ago when she ripped her crest off and underwent surgery to stick it back on. She also stood her ground when bailed up by the dogs in the backyard at Chadstone by jumping at Zucchini she saved herself. Apple would come to the window to say hello when ever free ranging the backyard. She would also peck at any pesky noses hunting her through the chicken wire and reminder a pointer or two that she owned this bit of the yard. Thanks for the eggs! Thanks for the laughs. Sorry we couldn't help you get better. Enjoy the fields of Narnia where I imagine that there are tonnes of you favourite food.....

Dinner time

GeoTagged, [S37.78037, W144.99711]

Matilda won the competition and chose where we were to eat. Denn at Westgarth we go. A disavantage to confident children they don't understand the table booking system. They march past the waiter and straight to their favourite table occupied by 2 of the 6 party. I found them happily talking to these people who look somewhat bemused. Fortunately there is one table left and a reasonable consolation prize it is up stairs!!!

Teachers Play

Our schoool puts on a nativity play by the teachers at the end of each year. I was asked to be Mary but with Term 4 being really full I decided to miss the play and just watch with Felix and Matilda. But two days before the play I was asked to step in as an Inn keeper. Why Not?! So I learnt my lines and knew who to follow! Felix and Tilda were dropped off and quickly sat down to enjoy the nativity play. They smiled and waved and then where captivated by Mary and Joseph. I had written my lines on my hand just in case and I didn't need them I remembered- pretty good for a pregnant tired person. I was the Bad Inn keep and turned Mary and Joseph away from my Inn. Relieved I sat down and took a few deep breaths. A moment or two later I felt a familar tug on my arm- Tilda has waled up to the side of the stage and whispered:

"Why were you so mean? You are supposed to give Mary and "Jofess" the stable to stay in."

Sorry I answered a little take back. Matilda expressed her annoyance with me after the play and made me promise to never be a bad Inn keeper again.

Felix's First piano Concert

Felix's first piano concert was held on Saturday. We heard Frère Jacques over and over and over again in preparation for his concert. I was a little worried as the practice session on the Monday prior was some what patchy. Felix was more interested in entertaining his audience with smiles and glances that he forgot to concentrate on his hands.

Moments before he heading up to the piano for his performance he remarked

"I'm nervous but it feels good"

Felix did not look at his hands and managed to only make one small mistake. His timing was perfect and Frère Jacques sounded really good. He stood up and took a big bow and flashed a huge confident smile to the crowd. Aaaah the little entertainer in his element.
